What is Bonded Seal?

Bonded Seals (also known as Dowty Seals) are metal washers with a rubber insert used to seal high-pressure joints. They are commonly used in hydraulic fittings, pipe joints, and bolt connections to prevent fluid leaks.

Bonded Seal Specifications

- From ¼″ to 2″ (inner diameter)
- Metric and imperial sizes available
- Custom sizes upon request
- Metal ring: Usually zinc-coated steel or stainless steel
- Seal insert: Made from NBR (Nitrile Rubber) or FKM (Viton) for better chemical resistance
- Provides a secure seal under high pressure
- Combines metal strength and rubber flexibility
- Replaces traditional washers and O-rings
- Resists oil, fuel, and hydraulic fluids
- Suitable for static sealing (non-moving parts)
